Goal

In ‘Conquer the Throne’ you will try to bring two of your crowns across and place them on your own throne. Can you do this first? Then you win the game.

Game overview

Β The game looks like a chessboard, and it does look a bit like that. Only with (much) simpler rules and this game can be played from about 6 years old.

In Concquer the throne you play against each other. Each player has a set of pieces with which he tries to get across the board. You have two types of pieces:

– Thrones, in three sizes. The thrones move around the board. On your turn, you place two of the thrones. The pieces may move horizontally, vertically and diagonally.

– 3 crowns, which rest on the thrones. The crowns move via thrones across the board. On your turn you may move the crowns a total of 3 moves. You may also place them on your opponent’s crowns. A throne with a crown may not move.

The player who is the first to have two crowns on the opposite side, on their own throne, wins the game

Review

Β What a fun game this is! Simple rules, but quite tricky to play! it resembles chess in look and feel, but the way of playing is very different. This took some getting used to. But soon the game plays logical and fun.

He is both fun with children from about 6 years old, but also with adults. If you play it with adults it becomes a more strategic game

For whom?

For anyone looking for a fun, abstract game. Fun with the kids but also with each other.
